THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride

THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is seeking ACTORS, SINGERS, and DANCERS for an hour long live, interactive show based on the film by Warner Bros. The show includes scripted scenes, live singing, dancing, and a great deal of audience interaction. All performances take place aboard a slow-moving train from the Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. There are 2-5 rides per show day.

LOCAL HIRE ONLY. Housing/transportation (or stipends) not provided

PAY RATE NOTE: All roles (except Santa and Hero Child) are paid on an hourly basis of $18/hour ($25.50/hr for Santa; $16/hr for Hero Child) including overtime for weeks exceeding 40 hours. Presuming a fully realized performance season (no unexpected cancellations or Acts of God), and if actors work the entirety of their assigned schedule, Oklahoma City actors will work approximately 239 total hours from the start of rehearsals to the closing day performance. Hero Child youth actors will perform approximately 34 performances for an approximate 88 total hours from the start of rehearsals to the closing day performance. We are providing this information in order to supply as much information as possible, however, please understand that this is not a guarantee of total wages. The role is paid hourly for actual hours worked.

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE NOTE: Actors will not work every day of the run, but we are seeking actors with full availability. Actors will be divided into 3 casts (RED CAST, GREEN CAST & BLUE CAST) and will be on a rotation schedule with 2 casts working per show day. Thanksgiving and Christmas Day OFF. 

HERO CHILD ACTORS are not split into cast colors. Instead, there are 7 youth actors who share the role, and performances will be divided among all the actors. Their specific performance schedule will be determined once all actors are cast. No youth actor will do more than 3 shows on one day.
